This is the problem that originally bugged me: I used "..\abc", wrongly thinking it would copy the single directory abc in the above directory, but then I realized it recursed in the entire "..", finding a directory looking like "..\hi\there\abc" and copying it - this still doesn't make sense to me, not even in light of the improved documentation.
