The use of UTMB's VPN (Virtual Private Network) solution allows you to access campus applications and network services protected behind the UTMB firewall, no matter your location. Your Trusted Requestor must make a Tivoli request for VPN access (Remote Access Group) on your behalf. Access is generally granted within a few minutes of the request. MyVPN is a SSL-VPN program that you can install from your web browser. MyVPN provides secure web connections across the campus firewall and allows the user to make network connections from an off-campus computer. This makes MyVPN the preferred way to connect to UTMB computer resources from off-campus without having to install software. In order to enroll, log on to https://myvpn.utmb.edu and you will be redirected to the enrollment process which takes about 2-3 minutes. After launching Pulse Secure you will notice a new icon in the systray some say looks like a bug. The install process may take 5 to 10 minutes to complete. No mobile phone? Before you can access myVPN, you must obtain a CWL account. CWL accounts are available to registered UBC students, staff and faculty. If none of these affiliations reflect your status with the university and you need VPN access, you can obtain a CWL guest account if you are sponsored by a staff member or faculty. Once you have your CWL account, you can configure your computer for myVPN service
